"I sent them as a gift. Apparently, upon opening the tin, the recipient discovered that the top layer of cookies was all broken. That was disappointing. The secondary layer was fine. Cookies themselves got good reviews and were enjoyed. Broken ones were apparently crumbled over vanilla ice cream and were delicious. My only real issue is with the packaging and shipping. There has to be a better way to protect them in transit."

It could have been an even BETTER experience!

"Although EVENTUALLY the delivery of 2 lbs. of ""Fresh Baked Chocolate Chunk Cookies"" was wonderful for the recipients, it would have been better if the correct order had been delivered in the beginning! I went to the trouble to call David's Cookies instead of ordering them on line because, although I knew the recipients of my gift loved chocolate chip cookies the most, I thought perhaps I could send them a variety of chocolate chip ""types"" of cookies. (For example. . . Chocolate chip cookies with walnuts, and dark chocolate cookies and, perhaps, one MORE variation on chocolate chip cookies along with your originals, which are called ""Chocolate Chunk"" cookies. That is why I phoned your company instead of buying the gift on line. However, when I DID call, the lady with whom I spoke told me that I could not make up my own assortment of cookies. She suggested I just send a two pound order of the original ""Chocolate Chunk"". I thanked her and went ahead and heeded her advice. When I found out the couple had received the assortment instead, I was upset. . . as they do not like peanut butter and were looking for someone to give those cookies to. When I told them they were SUPPOSED to get only the two pounds of chocolate chunk, the recipient found the receipt in their order and discovered that they WERE supposed to just get the chocolate chunk, as that was the agreed upon order! I called David's Cookies with the information I had, and your company kindly agreed to send along the proper order, the two pounds of Chocolate Chunk. The couple I sent them to in North Carolina got the corrected order within a few days and were very pleased with the product! I was thrilled that all had turned out well! This would have been a ""five star review"" if all had been correct in the beginning! In addition. . . I do not know if a fifteen percent discount should have been offered to me over the phone or not; but it was NOT offered, and I WAS a new customer. However, all in all, the end result was excellent. In fact, I recently got a ""thank you"" that included the following comment. . . ""It's our favorite dessert, and we have devoured them in accordance with the instructions on the tin: within 48 hours of opening""! Upon rereading my review I have changed my review into a ""five star"" one, as the FINAL results were outstanding! I am sure David's Cookies will be pleased that the recipients and I were ALL thrilled with your product and customer service in the end! Thank you!"

Delicious cookies

"David’s cookies are consistently great product. My order was shipped directly. Only one thing was I didn’t know if the order was delivered. I should have received an email with a tracking number. I called customer service, they were helpful and courteous and able to confirm delivery."
