Oven s’mores
S’mores aren’t just for summertime campfires—they also make a perfect warm, gooey treat on a snowy day. Line a baking sheet with tin foil and preheat your oven’s broiler. Make sure your oven rack is on the lowest level. Space out the graham crackers and top each with a square of chocolate and a marshmallow. Broil for 1-3 minutes until the marshmallows are golden and puffed. Remove and top with remaining graham crackers.
Pro-tip: Don’t have graham crackers or chocolate? No problem! Swap out the graham crackers for chocolate chip cookies, such as our Chocolate Chunk Cookies or Double Chocolate Chip Cookies, for a delicious twist on the classic recipe.
Crispy rice treats
Crispy marshmallow rice squares are another classic treat that are just as popular with kids as adults. Melt ¼ cup of butter in a saucepan over low heat and add 4 cups of marshmallows, stirring frequently, until smooth. Remove from the heat and add 5 cups of crispy rice cereal. Combine well, making sure all of the pieces are coated. Press into a greased baking dish. Top with blue and white sprinkles for a cute snow day theme! Refrigerate until cool and then cut into squares.

No-bake cookie truffles
Feeling fancy? Cookie truffles are a fun snow day baking idea that doesn’t require an oven. With a food processor or by hand, grind cookies (our Decadent Jumbo Smores Cookies, for example) until only small chunks remain. Combine with cream cheese until smooth. Roll into balls and place on a parchment-lined sheet. Refrigerate or freeze until firm (at least 15 minutes). Dip each ball into melted chocolate and top with sprinkles, nuts, or more ground cookies. Return to the fridge until set.
Pro-tip: You can also make no-bake truffles with our left-over Brownies or Cakes. Combine 1 cup of brownie or cake pieces with ¼ cup of heavy cream in a glass bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds and mix until smooth. Scoop into balls and refrigerate until firm, and then coat in melted chocolate.
Ice cream sandwiches
Homemade ice cream sandwiches are tastier than the store-bought ones and super easy to make on a snow day! Place a scoop of your favorite ice cream between two cookies (our Peanut Butter with Peanut Butter Chip Cookies work great for this) and press together gently. It can help to let your ice cream soften on the counter for a few minutes beforehand. Roll the sides in sprinkles or crushed nuts for an extra special treat.
Hot chocolate
Nothing says snow day more than a cup of hot cocoa! Simply combine a couple of scoops of cocoa powder with milk (regular or plant-based) and a sweetener (sugar, honey or maple syrup) in a medium saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until the cocoa powder dissolves and the milk begins to steam. Top with marshmallows or whipped cream, and serve with a side of warm cookies. Our Butter Pecan Meltaway Cookie Dough makes perfectly dunkable cookies!
Pro tip: Keep our frozen cookie dough on hand this winter for hot, fresh-baked cookies when the snow days hit!
